How much does it cost?
Cost depends on how much time is spent on the case (hourly rates range from $85 to $195 or more, depending on the complexity of the investigation), the number of searches conducted (computer and onsite searches begin at $35 each) and access fees charged by courts or public record agencies (fees range from $5 to $65).
How long does an investigation take?
Computer searches usually can be conducted within 24 hours. Onsite public record searches usually take 2-5 business days. On-the-street investigations normally can be started within 24 hours and how long it takes to complete an investigation depends on the scope of and the location in which the investigation is to be conducted.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds of any unused retainer fees are made within one business day of a client’s request.
Why hire a private investigator instead of doing it yourself?
Experience, professionalism, resources, contacts, knowledge of the law, knowledge of what types of information are available legally and how to access it.
How can I keep your service discrete?
Most of our cases can be handled by telephone or email but, in those instances where a personal meeting is appropriate, we can meet with you at our office or at a place of your choosing. All communications with clients are treated with the utmost confidentiality and are shared only among the investigator or investigators working your case.
Also, working for your attorney, as opposed to working for you as an individual, provides us an additional level of confidentiality called the Attorney Work Product Doctrine. This legal principle protects materials prepared in anticipation of litigation from discovery by opposing council.
