NAIC Compliance

In 2022, the NAIC made verifiers responsible for ensuring full compliance with the UCAA Best Practices and Guidelines for Background Investigations. We work with you to navigate these requirements for biographical affidavits and resolve discrepancies before sending verification reports to the states, helping ensure acceptance. In fact, we have maintained a 100% acceptance rate for verifications since this requirement went into effect.

Comprehensive
Research

Through our association memberships, we maintain on-site researchers in every county in the nation who obtain criminal and civil records through on-site searches or their equivalent rather than using online databases that can be outdated. This approach is more costly than relying on computer databases, but it is the only way to satisfy the currency standard demanded by both the NAIC and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).

Tailored Pricing

We promptly provide a no-charge cost estimate upon receiving biographical affidavits and identifying names used and address histories for each affiant. Because each person’s background is unique, the cost is tailored to the number of names being verified and the number of counties in which they have resided, worked, held officer positions and/or directorships, or attended school. Once you approve the estimate, we accept a 50% retainer to proceed with background verifications and report preparation.

Efficient Reporting

After completing the background verifications, we promptly send the report directly to the state. We also provide the client with a copy of our reports and issue our final invoice for the remaining balance.
